My Makeup Storage

I did not realise how much make up I owned until I began clearing my makeup area and consolidating all the different pots, baskets and drawers into one area. I think the amount of foundations shocked me the most and it has definitely made me not want to buy anymore items until I have ploughed my way through the ones I have. Although having just said that watching this video of Charlotte Tilbury recreating the Victoria Beckham Allure cover made me long after every item used, none of which I own!

The desk I have is one that used to belong to my great grandfather and has been passed around various bedroom over the years so is full of little pieces of graffiti that have been made by either my brothers or cousins. I am still debating whether to paint it but for now I am going to leave it as it is.

The plastic trays that hold a lot of my makeup were given to me at a Muji event and I love how easy they are to use.

All my tools, brushes and lip crayons are kept in either Anthropolgie espresso mugs, an Oliver Bonas mug or an empty candle holder. I have also separated the brushes into those larger ones that are used on the face and the smaller eye or detailer brushes.

The bowls on top hold my hair clips, cotton pads and the mug has my cotton buds. The blue bowl is from Waitrose and the others are Oliver Bonas.

This is the drawer inside my desk and it holds all my palattes, bases and any extras that I no longer use on a daily basis or could not fit in my Muji drawers!

This Muji drawer holds anything eye related so mascaras, eye liners, eye shadows and brow products.

The holds anything lip related.

This has concealers, primers, liquid highlighters and also one powder and blush - not sure how they ended up there!

This is anything cheek related so contour, blush, bronzer, highlighter. It also has the Barry M Dazzle Dust pots as it was the only drawer with room. I actually found these on my clear out and had completely forgotten amount them! I used to love them in my uni days as they could be used a eyeshadows or if dampened as an eyeliner.

This doesn't include the makeup that is in my current makeup bag, which looks like this, or products which I will never use as I have popped those in a basket which lives at the bottom of my wardrobe.

I am very nosey and love posts like this that offer an insight into how people have organised their belongings!

How do you store your makeup?
