Four Heatwave Heroes!

1. A Light Base with SPF:

Garnier Miracle Cream - I have been loving this recently and the light formula is perfect for the hot weather. It offers great hydration without feeling too heavy on the skin and gives a small amount of coverage and as I find my skin is better in the summer this is perfect. The best thing is that it also has SPF 20 so you are protected from the sun rays! It is currently on offer for £8.49 in Boots. Read full review here

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Tinted Cream 50+ - When I have a tan the tint on this product is just perfect as it leaves such a natural sheen that balances out your complexion. It has an SPF of 50 and you are UVA as well as UVB protected - perfect for those extremely hot days! It is currently on offer for £11.25 in Boots. Read full review here

2. Waterproof Mascara:

Bourjois Volume 1 Second Waterproof Mascara - This has been my mascara of choice for months now as I love how dramatic my lashes look after application. Although it is waterproof and so stays put all day it isn't impossible to be removed either.  It is £9.99 in Boots, although there is an offer for 3 for 2 on all Bourjois products at the moment. 3. Lipsalve with SPF:

Nivea Sun Protect SPF 30 Waterproof - I find my lips dry out massively in the hot weather and I am really bad at remembering to use a lip salve with SPF. This is a lovely nourishing lip product that keeps them hydrated all day. It is £3.29 in Boots.

4. Powder to keep the shine at bay.

Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light - I use this product every day and absolutely love the finish that it gives. It makes my makeup last all day, blurs imperfections, eliminates unwanted shine and gives your skin a soft glow that looks healthy and natural. Although it is a little pricey at £38 I have barely made a dent in the six months I have been using it.  Read full review here

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder - I do love this powder as it gives such a beautiful flawless finish but the packaging is incredibly fiddly. Considering it is a whopping £42 I do not understand why there is no wheel inside so you can control the amount of loose powder that escapes through the holes. Instead if  you accidentally knock or shake the product you will get a little explosion of white powder every time you open it causing a massive waste. It also means you can't travel with it which is such a shame as it is perfect for not only setting your makeup but topping it up throughout the day due to the hyaluronic acid.  Read full review here, although be warned it was my second post so it is not that detailed!

A cheaper alternative powder that I love is the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder, which is £8.99 in Boots.

What are your must have products in a heat wave?
