Five Favourite Brushes

Narrowing this down to five was much harder than I though as I do love the EcoTools Tapered Blush Brush for contouring as with one swipe of the NARS Contour Palatte I can get both the contour and highlight in one! Having said that I think these are the five that I use most often and genuinely do not think I could live without.

1. Real Techniques Blush Brush

I use this brush for powder, bronzer, blush and even contouring as it is the perfect tapered shape for all. The bristles are beautifully soft, it cleans and dries perfectly as do all the Real Technique offerings. An absolute bargain for £9.99 in Boots.

2. Real Techniques Buffing Brush

This is the perfect brush for blending your foundation or any base into your skin to leave you with a flawless finish. There is no surprise that this is such a cult beauty favourite! I only wish it was sold separately as you can only purchase it in the Core Collection for £21.99 in Boots.

3. MAC 217

Another cult and rather obvious inclusion here but this brush is fantastic for blending eyeshadows. I am not sure how it creates such a flawless finish but it does, every time! I am sure that every beauty lover has one of these in their stash! You can buy it from MAC online for £19 - slightly more expensive but definitely worth it.

4. Real Techniques Dome Shadow Brush

I don't actually use this brush for my eyeshadows as I think it is perfect for blending concealer, whether it is a highlighting pen under the eyes or a denser concealer for imperfections it effortlessly buffs the product into the skin. This comes in the Starter Set for £21.99 in Boots.

5. Real Techniques Detailer Brush

I am obsessed with the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage palate as it hides even the most stubborn of marks or can be mixed with other concealers and used under the eyes. I absolutely love pin point concealing as I think it is a much more natural way of masking blemishes and this brush is perfect for it. Also if you wanted to be really versatile it could be used for eyeliner or smoking under the eye. You can purchase it in the Core Collection for £21.99.

What are your favourite brushes?
