Bourjois One Second Volume Mascara in Waterproof Review

Bourjois One Second Volumising Mascara Review
Bourjois One Second Volumising Mascara Review Wand

Following on from their much loved Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish the brand have released a 1 Second Volume Mascara. Now this is a mascara that has been getting a lot of hype, mostly because of its interesting wand. You can almost see it in the picture above, but there are spherical balls which envelope the whole wand and are intwined with the normal straight bristle style. The idea is that the balls, or 'wraparound spheres' to be more technical, coat every single lash whilst the straight bristles ensure your lashes are clump free.

I really like this mascara and I am fussy when it comes to my eyes. It does take a little longer than one second to apply but the finish leaves you with volumised bold lashes. I do not think it lengthens like the L'Oreal Telescopic but it does definitely add a lot of volume that lasts all day.

However, I would say it take me a little while to get used to the brush as I am used to the thin Telescopic wand that allows me to get right to the root of my lashes with no smudging occurring. This wand is much larger and it did take some getting used to but I must say that I do really like it! I have the waterproof version as I think they always hold a curl much better and I find that they are easily removed with eye make up remover.

I have heard some people complain about the mirrored packaging but I quite like it and it definitely makes it easier to find in the depths of your make up bag! I am not sure if I love this more than the Telescopic but it is definitely a fantastic mascara!

You can buy it in Boots for £9.99. The orange is the normal mascara whilst the light blue is the waterproof version.

Have you tried this innovative wand?

    1. Thank you! I have heard the non-waterproof is great too. I just have very stubborn straight lashes so I need that bit extra to keep the curl! x
