Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation
I do not need another foundation, I fully acknowledge that fact, however I also have zero will power so when I was in Selfridges the other day and my friend was buying this I couldn't help but try it. I was so impressed at the luminous a light finish that I went on to buy it - justifying it to myself that the fact I had a £20 voucher made it a very reasonable £11.50 made it a bargain. Since then it has been my foundation of choice and I can see why this is such a cult product.

Recently I have been having problems with my skin and I was looking for a product I could wear every day but that would let my sensitive skin breathe whilst adding coverage. The Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation is a finely milled powder that when buffed into the skin is undetectable. The 15 active amino acids help to promote a radiant finish and also diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles.  You can wear this product very sheer to just even the skin tone or build it for a more polished look. I also like that you can build targeted areas whilst leaving others almost untouched.

I was wary at how messy this product would be. My By Terry Hyaluronic Powder gets everywhere and I am always annoyed at how much of the product I waste. This however has a nifty little disc that sits on top of the powder. You can twist it around to reveal some holes which allow a small amount of product through. You then twist back round to close allowing you to carry this around in your bag without the fear of a small explosion when you next lift the lid. Another alternative would be to buy it in the pressed formula but for some reason it was the idea of loose powder which initially attracted me.

I am seriously impressed with the product and never imagined a powder foundation could give such an undetectable but luminous finish. I would definitely recommend this.

What do you think of Mineral Powder Foundations?

  1. Great post hunnie x

  2. Sounds awesome. I've almost barely tried loose powder foundations as I don't believe they look or last as well but thats because I've had a few bad experiences. I'm sure a loose powder from them or baremineras should be good, I'm interested in trying it!

    1. Yea I have always been really wary but when I saw how great it looked on my friend I knew I wanted it! X

  3. That looks awesome! I always loved liquid foundation and never thought I'd try anything else. That was until I tried the bare minerals loose powder. It's amazing how flawless it makes your skin. This looks very similar and as it's Laura Mercier I have no doubt it's awesome!! Great post xx
