Weekly Favourites # 6

On Wednesday I met one of my oldest friends and went to Barrio Central in Soho for some cocktails before moving on to Inamo. There will be a post coming soon but basically the menu is interactive and as you scroll through the menu it gets projected onto your plate! You can also watch the chefs cooking and even play interactive games such as Battle Ships! We then went to Paramount for some drinks and to soak up the amazing London skyline. Unfortunately they had no tables near a window and my friend was adamant that the view from The Shard was more impressive. Determined to be proved right he dragged me across the city and I am so glad he did as the view and cocktails from Aqua Shard were incredible! On Thursday I went to a friends for dinner to catch up with old friends and we laughed so much the next day my abs actually ached! This weekend has been spent West at my boyfriend's family home, which has involved me cuddling the three month old baby continually much to everyone else's dismay. A pretty good week really!

Photographs: Selecting cocktails at Inamo // Watching the chefs on the TV at the table // Part of my sample stash // Cocktails at AquaShard // Fortune Cookie which told me: 'A close friend will be deceptive tomorrow' - great! // Tanya Burr's lips and nails.

Posts this week have included: Estee Lauder ANR II & Eye Recovery; Mary-Lou Manizer; Skincare Samples - Perfect for a weekend away and Tanya Burr's Lips and Nails.

Favourite post: Having recently chopped my hair considerably shorter into a long bob I have been looking at tutorials to achieve that perfect beachy tousled curls. Unfortunately I have the straightest hair known to man but this post broke it down in such easy steps and I am pleased to say it worked a treat, thank you This Chicks Got Stye. I also loved London Kat's opinions on Tanya Burr's Lips and Nails, see posts here

Favourite product: This has to go to the REN Frankincense Revitalising Night Cream. I used this up last year and well forgot about it really after I purchased some Origins products, see post on them here. I found a sample of it in my stash and decided to take it away for the weekend. The cream is thick and luxurious and I feel that it really nourishes the skin. I am so glad that this is back on my radar!

Favourite clothing: This has to be my Zara berry hat which is incredibly soft (I think it is Angora which breaks my heart so I am desperately trying to ignore that fact!) I find that the style is perfect and I never have to worry how it looks. But the best things is that it lets no rain through, perfect for this dismal weather especially when the freak 5 minute storm last weekend snapped my umbrella in two rendering it useless!

Hope you have all had a good week too!

  2. Oh wow, those interactive menus sound amazing - it projects the food onto your plates? That's so cool! How does it work?
