VICHY Normaderm Hyaluspot (Spot Treatment) Review

VICHY Normaderm Hyaluspot (Spot Treatment) Review

Vichy is a brand I have never properly tried but when Amelia from Liana-Beauty claimed she preferred this to the much hyped Origins Spot Remover, I knew I had to give it a try. My Origins has been dried up now for far too long and I wanted to try a cheaper alternative. Origins is £14 for 10ml whilst the Vichy is £10.50 for 15ml. It has been a good few months now and although the products are very similar I think I actually prefer the Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot Treatment

This product claims to form an invisible and protective film, which is enriched with hyaluronic acid, to protect the imperfection. Whilst it is protected the clear gel like formula can fight the blemish, reducing redness and stop other imperfections appearing.

This works impressively well! I had one of those awful under the skin blemishes beginning to form under the skin on my chin. I braced myself for it to painfully mature whilst daily applying this treatment and it never did! This has happened on a few occasions now so it must be doing something! The tube packaging makes it easy to carry around and I really love the metal tube which cools the gel before application.

However I would say that you should not apply this beneath your makeup as blending your base disrupts the protective film causing it to flake, not the most attractive look.

I really like these spot treatments and would definitely recommend this product.

What treatment do you use on blemishes?

  1. This sounds really promising. I've tried the origins spot remover before which I really liked, but at the minute I'm just using La Roche-Posey effaclar duo and a prescription spot treatment on any bigger, cystic spots.

    1. I didn't get on with the Effaclar Duo but I am intrigued by the new formula they have just bought out, the reviews of it seem really good!

  2. Oh this sounds interesting! I am having a horrid breakout right now so will defo look into this. Not sure about the fact that it flakes away under makeup. Ive found quite a lot of products doing that recently and it can become quite irritating. Great post Louise!
