Tanya Burr’s Lips and Nails Line

Although I was unable to attend Tanya Burr’s lips and nails launch party I do have a lovely friend who did, read all about her amazing time there here. Her delightful sister was kind enough to let me have her goodie bag and inside were two nail varnishes and two lip glosses and I could not wait to try them.

First off the packaging is very sleek and simple, reminding me lots of NARS. Each product clearly has her signature and the ends have gorgeous hearts on them.

Lipglosses

I have said this before, I am not a lip gloss girl. I think it stems from school and the cheap tubes I used to plaster across my lips. They were always very sweet and extremely sticky. Hair, fluff and well anything would be attracted to them like a magnet and I hated how much they would dry my lips out. However these are different they do feel like they hydrate your lips and they weren’t sticky at all. The colour pay off is fairly sheer which is something I like. Champagne Toast is a very natural colour that just leaves a glowing sheen across the lips. Picnic in the Park is the vibrant pink colour which although swatches as very bright and pigmented does not look so drastic on the lips! Instead it leaves a lovely pink tone making it easy to wear during the day but also which you can build for a more colourful look.

I did have to keep topping them up during the day but I wouldn’t say the longevity is that different to similar products. The only problem I have is the scent. I do not have a sweet tooth. I would always choose crisps over chocolate or starters over desserts. Strange to most people I know! These lipglosses have an extremely strong sweet scent, which does put me off slightly but on the other hand for the majority of people this will be a lovely bonus!

Nails

I have not tried out the polishes yet as annoyingly I had only painted my nails the previous night, however I will keep you posted when I do! Midnight Sparkles is the deep purple shade that has a very subtle shimmer running through it, perfect for these more wintery months. Whilst the other shade Peaches & Cream is a pinky nude that I think will look perfect as the spring sunshine (hopefully) starts to appear.

Having looked through the collection online there are lots of lovely colours to choose from and I know this line will be extremely popular! They are both very affordable and you can buy them from Feel Unique, the lipglosses are £6.99 here whilst the  nail polishes are £5.99 here.

What products will you be purchasing from this range?
