Brunch at Milk

Yesterday I met the lovely London Kat for brunch at one of my favourites places, Milk in Balham. If you have never been then I really cannot recommend it enough - although at weekends there is invariably a very long queue! I normally put my name down and then browse around some shops whilst I wait. The menu is simple and goes from brunch into lunch, with delicious specials every day. I love the relaxed atmosphere, quirky style and the utterly scrumptious food!

I went for their baked eggs with spinach and sausage, and their delicious Lois smoothie which comes in the glass pint milk bottles. I think this was apple, blackcurrant and banana. Kat went for the Sweetcorn frittas, spicy tomato relish, bacon, avocado and grilled halloumi. Both dishes were incredible! I come here all the time and I'm yet to be disappointed with anything I've ordered. Unfortunately neither of us had room for the assortment of cakes but believe me they are good too!

Their tap water comes in these glass jars and is infused with herbs and oranges!

Where is your favourite place to brunch?

  2. Oh my gosh, the food you had looks amazing! Living in Nottingham, we don't have any quirqy places like this, so I can't say I often go for brunch. Although I am moving to Leeds in September, so hopefully I'll be able to find some lovely little gems like this.

    1. It was delicious! I went to uni in Nottingham and there were loads of nice places. I will try and rack my brains to remember them! Pickle & Potter in Leeds is incredible. X

  3. Brunch is probably my favourite meal. Every Saturday my parents and I used to go to a small cafe in my local town and have such a long relaxing meal. It didn't look half as exciting as your baked eggs but it was delicious all the same. After moving for uni we don't do brunch anymore but I might suggest it to them next time I'm home.
    Great post :) Lucy ox

  4. This restaurant looks wonderful! I recently found out my local brunch spot has a Bloody Mary bar on the weekends - they bring you a big mason jar, and you can fill it up buffet-style with veggies, cocktail shrimps, hot sauce, and all that good stuff. Brunch is the best!
