The Resolutions 2014


Every year I make the same promises to myself and I rarely sustain them throughout the year. I have read lots of wonderful posts on people's aims and hopes so I thought if I made six small targets then I might actually accomplish them and not feel like a failure this time next year!

1. Drink more water

This should be the easy one but I know it won't be! This is one that is normally on my list as I hate how rubbish I am at it. Every day I wake up thinking that today will be the day I start to really enjoy drinking water but it never happens. If I am thirsty I would much rather a nice cup of tea than a glass of water and these colder months give me much less incentive. 

2. Look after my nails

This year I have been much better at looking after my nails. They used to be these nasty little bitten stumps and now I actually can wear the variety of nail polishes I have hoarded over the years. However, there are still relapses. Does anyone else start picking it all off after a few drinks? This year I want them to be stronger and healthier so they look good with or without a splash of colour. 

3. Post regularly

Having finally started up my own little space in the internet I want to keep posting regularly. However as this is a new adventure I don't want to put unnecessary pressure on myself by saying I will post everyday. Even if I had I would have already failed as I didn't post yesterday! I also want my content to be good therefore I would like to aim at three times a week. If it ends up being more, well then that is just a bonus! 

4. Get tech savvy 


I am not particularly happy with how my blog is looking at the moment and  am trying not to let it bother me at this early stage. I have been reading lots of tutorials and slowly but surely I know I will get there. However, any tips or helpful websites would be greatly appreciated! 

5. Explore London

I have been lucky enough to visit and live in some amazing places and for the last two years I have been based in London. This year I want to make more of living in such a vibrant city and really explore all the wonders it has to offer.

I have the other obvious other ones of eating more healthily and getting fitter but I think these five targets are ones I can actually achieve this year - fingers crossed!
