The Breakfast Club | Battersea Rise

For the last few weeks I have been lucky enough to be on Christmas holidays, probably the biggest perk of teaching has to be the incredible time off we get! The other day I went to one of my favourite places for brunch, The Breakfast Club. At weekends this restaurant is so difficult to get a table at so I was thrilled to go with the lovely London Kat and Bex from Twins in Trainers during the week. The Breakfast Club has a wonderfully relaxed attitude and retro feel to it. The staff are always very friendly and even on a Wednesday it was really busy with people having to wait for tables!

We decided to share a pitcher of the Slow Boy which was a delicious combination of apple, carrot, orange and ginger. The pitcher gave us at least two glasses each and for £9 it was really good value. Now onto the best part, the food! As we were there at 11 we could only order from the brunch section of the menu, which they do serve all day. I had the top picture which was the Huevos Al Benny and it was unbelievably good. It was a toasted English muffin with chorizo, roast peppers, avocado, fresh chillies and spicy hollandaise sauce. I decided not to go for any of the extras as the portions here a very generous and for £10 it was an excellent brunch as it kept me full until the evening.

Kat went for the avocado and poached egg on a toasted multigrain bloomer with fresh chillies, lime and she added crispy bacon. It looked and tasted incredible and for £9.50 it is still really good value and you definitely don't need anything else until the evening! Bex had the same but with scrambled egg and obviously no bacon!

It really is a lovely venue and if you have never been then I really do recommend it. Normally I go to Milk for brunch or lunch, which I do think might still have my heart but the Breakfast Cub is still a fantastic choice. You can either go to the one on Battersea Rise  or there are five other locations dotted around London, find your nearest here.

Have you been to The Breakfast Club?

  2. I LOVE the Breakfast Club, I lived in London for 5 years and moved about 8 months ago and it's one of the things I miss the most. We just don't have anything like it up here :(
