Review | Origins Moisturisers

A Picture of three Origins moisturisers

I absolutely love Origins products and these moisturisers are no exception.

GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser

I am a huge fan of the GinZing Eye Cream, an excellent moisturiser that help to de-puff and brighten the eye area, so I was very excited when Origins expanded this range earlier in the year. The GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser is my go to morning product as it definitely lives up to its name. The smell is fruity and absolutely divine, you can almost taste the oranges. This combined with the skin boosting ingredients of Panax GinZing and Coffee Bean results in my skin feeling refreshed and definitely brighter. The consistency is light and almost gel like due to the oil free formula which helps it melt into the skin leaving a perfect base for makeup. However, this is definitely a morning moisturiser as I like to use something a bit heavier in the evenings.

High-Potency Night-A-Mins

The regular High-Potency Night-A-Mins is a very thick moisturiser which has the delicious smell of citrus fruits, however the scent is not as overwhelming as the GinZing. This product is full of moisture replenishers and a variety of vitamins resulting in your skin feeling incredibly refreshed and hydrated when you wake up. I absolutely adore this product and if I am not going to use a serum before it is always my first choice.

My skin always seems to be changing therefore when I ordered the oil free moisturiser I also added the 30ml sample of the previous version to my basket so I could compare the difference. The oil free has a much lighter, almost gel like consistency similar to the GinZing. Although it melts into the skin you are left feeling not quite so hydrated. Even though my skin is slightly oily and therefore I should prefer the oil free version I have to admit that the thicker consistency normally wins. Nonetheless this is still a lovely light night moisturiser which perfectly complements my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

I think the best thing about Origins is that when you purchase a product you are able to choose  a variety of samples you would like. This is a perfect way to try out different products to test if they are suitable for you!

What are your favourite moisturisers?

  1. I'm a huge lover of origins, I used to have both of those products and love the smell! The Ginzing was great to use in the mornings for a bit of a boost. If you love those, I bet you'd love the Vitazing tinted moisturiser!
